On this West Virginia Morning, the House of Delegates passed a bill known as the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act.
The measure calls on doctors to use “reasonable medical judgement” in the event of an unsuccessful abortion. It passed with bi-partisan support.
Some Democrats argued that the bill does nothing and is an attempt at furthering political divides coming into an election cycle. Still, many of those in the minority voted in favor of the bill. Dave Mistich reports.
Also on today’s show, West Virginia’s primary election isn’t until May. But candidates are already gearing up for the months ahead. All three seats in the House of Representatives will be on the ballot, as well as a U.S. Senate seat.
