Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders will make at least three more stops in West Virginia before the state's May 10 primary elections, according to his campaign's national press secretary.
Simone Sanders announced during a conference call with reporters Tuesday the Vermont Senator would hold events in Charleston, Morgantown and McDowell County this week, but didn't release any further details.
Press Secretary Sanders says the events, which will include a large rally and stops at smaller locations that will allow him to meet one-on-one with local voters, will focus on climate change and income inequality, two topics Sanders spent ample time discussing during his Huntington rally last week.
Included on the call announcing the stops was Senate Minority Leader Jeff Kessler and West Virginia Democratic Party Vice Chair Chris Regan, both of whom have endorsed Sanders in the race and introduced him at the Huntington event.
Sanders' first rally in West Virginia drew more than 6,000 people.
